Design Contest
Open to everyone, the semi-annual Pulse Innovative Design Contest encourages designers and non-designers alike to submit original designs to us for consideration. The winner gets fame and fortune (well maybe not) and we stay on the cutting edge by constantly shaking up our product line and hearing from the people on the street. Plus, it's is part of our mandate to support the design community by giving it access to manufacturing, marketing venues and potential revenues.
Submission Deadlines
Due January 15 and July 15 of each year.
The Winners
Although in our spirit of being kind to one another we'd like to say everyone is a winner, in this case they're not. We'll pick a maximum of 2 from each submission deadline. However if there is no entries that blow us away, we may not declare a winner for that deadline.

The Prize
· $1000 USD per winner
· Inclusion in the Pulse Furniture line-up
· Inclusion in subsequent Pulse Furniture catalogues
· 1% royalties on all sales generated by the winning design Lifetime
· Recognition on www.pulsefurnituredesign.com
· Infamy in the furniture world, or at least in your group of friends
What to Submit
1. Designs must be submitted with conceptual drawings or photos from all 6 sides
2. Designs must clearly state or show or accompany a list of all dimensions and materials used.
3. Maximum submission length is 7 pages 8.5x11 and, don't try typing really small it'll just make the judges irritable.
4. Do not submit your original drawings. Please send copies instead as your entries will not be returned.
5. Please send all contact info for you with e-mail, phone and snail mail
6. A short bio or resume on you with background, goals dreams etc..
7. A brief description of what target markets will be attracted to buy your design
Some Insider tips
Preference will be given to those designs that have widespread commercial appeal and those that fit into the present production capabilities of Pulse Furniture Design (ie. Upholstery & wood frames). Pulse welcomes designs for sofas, chairs, loungers, sectionals, ottomans, dreamers, benches and the like.
Be original.
Only new original designs will be evaluated. No copy cats please. We will tell your mom.

The Legal Stuff

All winning entries will be the exclusive property and ownership of Pulse Furniture Design Limited Partnership including any and all copyright and intellectual property rights. Any submitted design which is used by Pulse at anytime will receive 1% royalties on all its sales life time. Designs which may be coincidentally similar to a pre-existing Pulse Design will not be eligible for the contest. Also any submitted design which may be somewhat similar to any future Pulse Designs but is NOT drastically different will not be entitled to royalties.
