Leg Position Options
In order to simplify the process of choosing legs and leg positions, we have developed a chart outlining the available leg positions for each leg in the Pulse Furniture line. This chart also includes the method of attaching the leg to the frame and answers to Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.’s). Not all legs are available on all models or in all positions due to the structure of the frame and the centre of gravity of each piece.

F.A.Q.’s
1. Q: What size legs can be put on dreamers (hide-a-beds)?
A: Only 3 inch legs or smaller can be put on dreamers. This ensures that the
bed is level.
2. Q: What tools are required to attach the legs?
A: A hand held drill and set of drill bits are required for most legs. We
most often use screws that require Robertson #2 bits. If you are feeling strong
and have some time (Pulse Furniture frames are made of hardwood), you may
also use a screw driver.
3. Q: There are often many leg holes in the bottom
of the piece. How do I know which hole to put the legs into?
A: Your piece has been set up on the legs and the holes have been pre-drilled.
The chart lists the “typical” position of the legs. This will
be the location of the legs unless indicated otherwise. The holes located
in the corners of the frame will contain T-nuts and the holes located in the
interior of the frame will be the guide holes for the RW610 legs. (Insert
labelled picture explaining the holes.)
4. Q: Where are the screws for the legs located?
A: The screws will be in one of two places: screwed into the bottom of the
frame to indicate the position of the predrilled holes, or with the legs.
5. Q: What if I need replacement screws?
A: Replacement screws should be sufficient in length so that they penetrate
the leg and enough of the screw is in the frame to provide support. We most
often use #8 screws (width).
6. Q: What if I want to relocate the legs?
A: Legs may be moved if they are secured to the frame using screws and the
screws are predrilled. Legs can be relocated as long as all of the screws
can be secured into the wood and the legs provide a large enough base to make
the furniture sturdy. Legs that require a t-nut cannot be moved as the t-nut
is set into the frame.
7. Q: Where can I find additional felt pads for
the bottom of the legs?
A: Additional felt pads can be purchased at your local super store (i.e. Walmart)
or hardware store. Felt pads are provided with and recommended on all legs
to help prevent scratches on flooring. They will flatten and wear with use
and should be replaced regularly.
8. Q: What if a leg breaks?
A: Legs are covered for 5 years under warranty. Please complete the Warranty
Claim Form found on our web site.
9. Q: What if a leg is missing?
A: The legs are usually shipped under the seat cushion, packaged together.
Or, if the legs are large, such as the BM711, BM712, BM713, and RW610, they
are packaged together and shipped separate from the furniture. If the leg
is missing from the delivered shipment, please complete the Damage Claim Form
found on our web site.
10. Q: What if a T-nut becomes dislodged from its
normal location?
A: This then becomes a warranty claim. Please complete the Warranty Claim
Form found on our web site. A furniture repair company will be required to
do the repair.
